Energy Communities

We manage your Energy Community.

From legal framework to reporting. Solar Hands as the managing entity — for municipalities, condominiums, and business parks.

The concept

What an Energy Community is

An Energy Community — in Collective Self-Consumption (ACC) or as a Renewable Energy Community (CER) — lets multiple consumers share the energy produced by one or more solar installations: neighbours, condominium residents, businesses in a park, or buildings in a municipality.

The framework is defined by Portuguese legislation and the ERSE 815/2023 regulation (RAC). It makes solar energy accessible to those who, alone, would not have the roof, scale, or conditions to install.

The EGAC role

A community needs a managing entity

The EGAC (Collective Self-Consumption Managing Entity) handles registration, energy-sharing coefficients, the relationship with E-REDES, internal billing, and reporting.

It's continuous technical and administrative work. Outsourcing it to a specialised partner frees your organisation — and ensures the community meets its obligations rigorously.

How it works

The process, in four steps

1

Legal framework

Feasibility assessment and community model definition.

2

DGEG registration

Formal constitution and registration with the competent authorities.

3

Ongoing operations

Management of coefficients, members, and internal billing.

4

Reporting

Periodic reports and regulatory compliance.

Investment

€150 – €300 per CPE / month

The EGAC management service is priced indicatively according to the size and complexity of the community. We provide an exact proposal after the exploration call.
